A male white tailed deer decides to practice his mating skills. :)
Things always get interesting in the rain. That's why I said "Let's go to Pinson!". Pinson Mounds in Pinson, Tennessee is a favorite spot of mine to photograph the white tailed deer. And being the rutting season is knocking on our door, I'm going just about every day. Tonight, things turned a bit interesting...take a look at this fun video we made of the "events".
The photos of the deer and bunny at the end of the video were shot with the Nikon 200-500 f/5.6 lens with a 1.7 TC on a Nikon D7100. Surprisingly, they turned out halfway decent considering the low light and drizzling rain. I'm sure I'll pick one or two to work with for my art...though it won't be one of the questionable ones featuring the young buck. :)
What do you get when you match up a Nikon D7100 body with a Nikon 200-500mm lens, and a 2x Kenko Teleconverter?
A 400mm - 1000mm lens....
Each piece of art I create is an adventure. An adventure into me, my mood at the time, my thoughts and feelings... An adventure into nature... An adventure alongside wild birds and animals... An adventure into a variety of artistic processes. As a result, my entire life is one big adventure, and I love it!
I use Backblaze for online cloud storage -- which I highly recommend to have a safe backup of all your photos, textures, and finished art! --Jai
