Every new year, I decide on a challenge for myself for the upcoming year.
For this year, I've decided to work with the thousands upon thousands of songbird photos I have, and really try to get more creative with the art I create from those photos. Today, I photographed this little still life scene for reference down in my studio:
Then I went about finding a bird reference photo I could use to integrate in with this scene. Luckily, I'd acquired a great shot of an adorable little Chickadee the other day. I knew when I took the photos, the pose was perfect! And I decided to integrate that little bird into this scene, to create my reference for this painting. I also integrated a couple of my textures from DailyTexture.Com into the scene over the white background. The textures set the color tone for the final painting. So without further delay, I introduce you to:
The Little Artist
No matter how small, no matter how young, there's a little artist in everyone.
Each piece of art I create is an adventure. An adventure into me, my mood at the time, my thoughts and feelings... An adventure into nature... An adventure alongside wild birds and animals... An adventure into a variety of artistic processes. As a result, my entire life is one big adventure, and I love it!
I use Backblaze for online cloud storage -- which I highly recommend to have a safe backup of all your photos, textures, and finished art! --Jai
