Finding Light is a series of original acrylic landscape paintings created as quiet reflections on darkness, calm, and hope.
These paintings are not about specific places, but about moments — the pause between storms, the hush before morning, the soft glow that appears even when the world feels heavy.
Each piece is intentionally subdued by the artist, created with her own custom color mixes and glazes. Her technique allows shadow and light to exist together, with just enough illumination to guide the eye and the spirit.
Inspired by moody skies, distant horizons, and the timeless atmosphere found in the works of artists like J.M.W. Turner, this series embraces restraint and simplicity. The landscapes are meant to be felt rather than explained — offering a sense of stillness, contemplation, and gentle reassurance.
The Finding Light series is thoughtfully created across a range of sizes, from intimate small works to larger statement pieces, making them well suited for homes drawn to vintage, antique, and quietly collected spaces. Their muted palettes and softened surfaces allow them to settle naturally into rooms with history, warmth, and character.
Each painting in the Finding Light series is a one-of-a-kind original, created on canvas and never reproduced as prints. No two are alike. What you see is the only version that exists.
These works are for those drawn to quiet spaces, subtle light, and the beauty found in calm moments of reflection.
