Crafting Frames: A Quiet Artistry for Timeless Beauty

As I prepare to dive into the creation of "The Dance Above: 30 Days of Big Skies in Miniature," I wanted to offer you a glimpse into the understated artistry involved in crafting the custom handmade frames for each piece.

Selecting wood for the frames is a deliberate process, ensuring it complements the essence of the paintings within. The brushwork in my signature paint color on the frames mirrors the energy of the clouds, providing a subtle backdrop for the main attraction.

Adding an 18K gold leaf trim is the defining touch. Applied by hand as well, it brings a touch of sophistication to the frames, creating a connection between earthly elegance and celestial allure.

Because these are soft pastels, each pastel will be framed behind glass in these frames, and each frame will be professionally finished on the back. This attention to detail ensures that this original art will be top-notch from front to back.
